Dress inspired by circa 1900 Tuvaluan Jacket made of processed pandanus leaf strips from Te papa museum’s archive.
Made from silk and cotton voile for the dress, silk georgette for drawstrings & mix of shell buttons.
French seams instead of separate channels for drawstrings & gathered sleeves with inverted cuff details.
